Hello! First of all, we wish you all a very happy new year, and may 2012 be prosperous for you all!

Once again, we are looking for Volunteers in helping us out. There are two teams with different purposes, but they are both connected together, if you'd like to read the below for more information:

:bulletblue: One team will be acting as 'the middle man' (or 'men', in this case) and will be sending notes to Commenters for deviations that need to be commented on. Some deviations just need one or two comments, and we have a spreadsheet for it all so it should be pretty straight-forward.

:bulletblue: The other team will help check those deviations to see whether they are commented, inputting the data (in the spreadsheet) if it's not and helping us wrap it all up.

They're not exactly admirable positions to be in, I know, but even if you do five deviations a week, that would help us out immensely. If you have a spare bit of time... Anyway, please send a note and let us know if you're up for it and why you are interested!

Please don't forget to keep suggesting deviations! As we haven't received many, we will be skipping voting for this month and will resume it in February, or the end of this month. :)

Finally, we'd just like to ask for your opinion on what we could do better at #ProjectComment and what you expect from us that we may not be doing or we may be falling short on.

If there is anything that you would like us to do more, whether that is projects, contests, chat events or more, please say so!

Additionally, if you are disgruntled about anything, throw that in there as well and we'll give it some serious attention.

Thank you!

Well, if you need any middle-man work to be done, I'm game for that.

They are perfectly admirable positions to be in!

I do have a question, well two: what happened to =ziinyu, and what happened to the chats? - I'm guessing the two are related.

I was thinking about this in passing a few days ago... Should the group have some kind of button? icon? something that says this commenter came to a submission to comment from the group. So that the commenter doesn't become just some random person. So that people know the group is working hard. I've seen people mention it in the comments directly, like "Hi, I saw your submission in the Project Comment group" then go on to comment.

I don't know. It might make things even more complicated. :XD: Never mind~~~.

Well, what I normally do is leave the PC icon in my comment as not only does this let the artist know where the comment came from, but it also makes it easier for the volunteers to keep track of comments given by the group. It also advertises the group to anyone who sees the comment; if people see a good constructive comment left on someone's work and decide they want a piece of that cake too then they might just click the link

I think that's a great idea. Do you just stick it at the bottom of a comment? Do you include a description?

I'm new to both dA and the group, so some info on that would be great.

And thank you for your comment.

I usually put the icon at the top of a comment but you could include the : devProjectComment: or something if you'd prefer. As for placement, the top or bottom is fine, or a description if you want to explain yourself. There is no set procedure on this and leaving a link is not a requirement, but it does help, a lot. (:

Thank you! :la:

I'm sure it does help. That's why I asked about it. I'm really glad you replied and told me about this. I'll use the link from now on. :meow: More people need to do this too. :paranoid:

I've been putting the link in, and no one's said "Wtf is that?" or anything along those lines. So it's going well so far. :XD:
